History
Our first Mass was celebrated on October 3, 1982 in North Marion High School and we were named Christ the King Mission by Bishop Thomas Grady.

Our first building, that functioned as both our church and hall, was finished in 1984 and our first Mass was celebrated on March 18, 1984. Bishop Grady blessed our building on the Feast Day of Christ the King, November 25, 1984.

Our growth has been slow, but through the efforts of our parishioners we have added a permanant church, a rectory and a hall for community activities.

Because we are a mission church we do not have our own pastor. Our Pastor is Fr. Patrick J. Sheedy from Blessed Trinity.

Right now, we are blessed to have Fr. Joseph Maniangat, a retired priest, celebrating most of our Masses.

Christ the King functions because of the dedication of our volunteers. We have a very active Faith Formation program with classes for children as young as 4 years old up through adults of all ages. All the positions listed on the Ministries web page are filled by volunteers.
